Kathmandu & Pokhara Tour

Pokhara’s bewitching beauty has been the subject of many travel writers. Its pristine air, spectacular backdrop of snowy peaks, serene lakes and surrounding greenery make it ‘the jewel in the Himalaya’, a place of remarkable natural beauty. With the magnificent Annapurna range forming the backdrop and the serenity of three major lakes – Phewa, Rupa and Begnas – Pokhara is the ultimate destination for relaxation. Pokhara Valley, gateway to the Annapurna region where many a trekker finds his Shangri-la, sits high on the list of ‘must visit’ places in Nepal.

 

Pokhara once lay on the important trade route between India and Tibet. To this day, mule trains set up camps on the city outskirts, bringing goods from remote Himalayan regions including Mustang. Gurungs and Magars, who have earned world-wide fame as fierce Gurkha warriors, are predominant here. Thakalis, indigenous of the Thak Khola region of Mustang, are known for their entrepreneurship and run tea houses along the trek routes in the Annapurna region.

 

Day 1: - After breakfast you will picked-up from your hotel. Your Kathmandu valley tour begins from Pashupatinath temple – one of the World Heritage Site of Nepal and famous mainly among Hindus and equally respectable for Buddhists. Your tour proceeds to Boudhanath area. You will have lunch at around Boudhanath. After some rest, you will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square to see one of the finest old architecture of Nepal including single tree made building called ‘Kastamandap’; believed that this city’s name Kathmandu is derived from this Kastamandap, living goddess and so on.

At late day will be derived to Swayambhunath – a hill top temple mainly famous for Buddha sculptures and rituals. From the temple you can see the whole Kathmandu valley. Back to hotel at evening. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 : -  Early morning move to airport only less than half an hour drive from hotel to attend Mountain flight. During this hour long mountain flight you will see the Mount Everest and the range from the distance of less than 200 ft. You will be derived back to hotel to have breakfast after mountain flight. After breakfast we will move to Pokhara. Late day arrival at Pokhara. You will enjoy evening time at around Lake Side. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3 : - Your half day touristic city Pokhara commence after breakfast. You will visit Davis Fall, Mahendra Cave, Main city area – Mahendra Pool. After lunch return back to Kathmandu. Evening arrival at Kathmandu.

Evening transfer to airport or somewhere else as your further schedule.
